Anon_1132 say: Can anyone confirm if v1.1 and v1.01 are the same? The author has blocked upgrading from v1.01 to v1.1 .... suspicious!

Some really nice effects included in here, but also not so nice by Anon_2392
There are some notable things about this asset that make it pleasing versus some of the other comparable assets available. First of note, is the ease of set up and use, since the effects do not require any additional author or user introduced script for usage. It is like any other normal particle effect. Performance generally it seems is excellent as expected of light weight particle effects.
Most of the particularly fancy effects is based off texture sheet animations (as expected of most fancy particle effects), so adjusting the animation speed and such to suit your own purposes requires tinkering in the particle system component of the prefabs. As this is a review for Battle Skill FX, I will not discuss those points here in specifics, but I must warn for those who know how to do this, the Battle Skill FX is set up with multiple nested prefabs, and the names are awful and completely terrible for the description of the effects, so when editing, you will likely encounter the same pains as I have. This particularly makes scaling the prefab a huge annoyance for those effects with multiple texture sheet based animations in a nested prefab. For this terrible hierarchy and bad naming scheme, I cannot give full rating for this asset.
However, in an asset store where copy cat effects are common, it is nice to see some unique effects in here such as the "Sound Attack" effect which I have not seen a similar effect to. I also really enjoy the sword slashing effect that reminds me of some anime samurai cut! It is very cool. Effects like these slash effect are useful for 2D games especially, but can find some application in 3D game as well depending on the style. For example, while in traditional third person RPG the slash effect is maybe out of place, for top down isometric 2.5D emulation, it is a perfect fit!
Finally, I warn once you finish testing this asset, and you wish to buy it, there is something suspicious going on. If compared to other assets by this author (or his different aliases, if you investigate carefully and look for similarities in title), you will see that most of the other asset available are just recolors of the effect available in this particular package, with nothing new added. I think that is a shame. Please do not be fooled!
